The Fujifilm CX-550 is an affordable and versatile Photo ID solution that lets you take advantage of the latest digital technology and enter the high margin business of passports and immigration ID photos. What's more, you can print traditional 4x6 pictures from a digital camera, providing added revenue potential.
Comes complete with everything you need, including the Fujifilm FinePix A500 digital camera, the Printpix CX-550 digital photo printer, and the Direct ID Photo Kit.
Camera
The versatile Fujifilm FinePix A500 Digital Camera with
5.1 MegaPixels takes excellent photos. It has a 3.0x
optical zoom plus a 4.1x digital zoom providing a 12.3x
total zoom range. The 1.8” high resolution LCD monitor
makes framing and viewing images easier. And because
the digital camera quickly and easily connects to the
printer via a cable, you can take the camera with you to
photograph individuals and events, then bring the
camera back to print great mini-portraits and pictures.
Printer
The CX-550 printer is compact and easily fits into any
retail environment. And because it uses no chemicals, it
is environmentally friendly. The CX-550 is very easy to
use. The large 2.5 inch LCD monitor clearly displays the
image, operating instructions and printing status. By
following the instructions on the monitor, you can quickly
select, check, edit and print photographs.
In addition to ID photo printing, the printer also supports
index photos, bordered and borderless 4x6 pictures,
enabling the CX-550 to double as a revenue producing
photo printer.
Software
Specialized ID software ensures that you take digital
pictures that meet United States regulations for passport
and immigrations ID photos. The Fujifilm Printpix CX-550
Digital Photo Printer lets you select from six different
built-in frame templates, corresponding to standard ID
photo sizes used worldwide.
The CX-550 incorporates Fujifilm’s sophisticated digital
image-processing Image Intelligence™ software, especially
customized for Printpix printers. The software
creates the best possible, well-compensated results by
analyzing the subject and the shooting condition for
each image. This image processing software is incorporated
in high-end photofinishing equipment in photo
labs to create best quality prints.
Minimal Maintenance, Minimal Cost
The thermal autochrome printer requires only a roll of
Printpix paper. There are no inks, cartridges, ribbons or
toner to replace. The result is minimal maintenance and
work. And, because you don’t need to constantly replace
ribbons and toner there are no ongoing costs to operate
the system. The paper is affordably priced so that you
can earn attractive margins on both passport photos and
digital pictures.
