A plastic tube with comb-like fingers that fit into rectangular punched holes. Books bound with plastic comb (often called Cerlox or GBC binding), will lay flat and pages can be added/removed easily without destroying the comb. This cost effective method is well suited for short runs with little setup. 1/4" - 1 1/8" diameters are "Cerlox" type and 1 1/4" - 2" are "Sure-lox" type combs with 3 locking tabs. These combs have 19 rings (19R) and are meant for binding along an 11-inch edge of a standard 8.5" x 11" letter size page.
