CFS Binding Supplies - Shipping Information
Our FREE shipping applies to all items on this website shipping via standard Ground service or, for larger / heavier items, standard common carrier / motor freight* service where the order subtotal equals $50 or more. Most items normally ship out within 1 business day and will be received within 2-5 business days. A minimum order fee / handling charge of $15.00 is applied to all orders under $50.00 and is shown on the billing portion of the checkout process. This charge is the result of minimum order / handling fees from many of our suppliers / manufacturers that drop ship items direct to the customer.
CFS reserves the right to ship orders via most convenient carrier: either UPS or FedEx. If you have a preference or special request, please note it in the Special Instructions / Comments field during the checkout process.
Some larger / heavier orders and machines may require shipping via motor freight / common carrier* with delivery times of approximately 4-10 business days and may incur extra costs if shipping to AK or HI. If you have any questions regarding delivery, please feel free to contact us.
*Free delivery for larger equipment is dock-to-dock (or curbside / ground level). Some items may be delivered inside the first set of doors at the delivery address at no additional charge. Special delivery requirements such as residential neighborhoods, elevators, stairs, inside delivery, uncrating, debris removal, re-delivery, and the like will incur extra charges. Please specify any such needs in the Comments field during the Billing portion of your checkout and a CFS representative will contact you with further details. Free standard shipping is not available for orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.
We cannot ship to P.O. boxes or APO addresses. CFS cannot ship outside the USA.
CFS utilizes multiple warehouse across the United States. Most binding supplies (coils, combs, covers, screw posts, etc.) ship from our warehouses in New Jersey or California, depending on stock and availability. We also have warehouses in Illinois and Texas, though these locations have limited inventory available. Most drill bits and passport supplies ship from our central warehouse in Chicago. If you would like to confirm which warehouse will be utilized for your order, please contact us directly to confirm stock and availability.
Next Day Air, 2-Day & 3-day shipping are available (at an additional cost), detailed during the checkout process. If you would like to get a shipping quote prior to purchasing, please feel free to contact us.
CFS fully appreciates that knowing when your items will arrive is a valid concern when ordering online. We do our absolute best to ensure that tracking numbers are available online as we get them. Since the many items we offer are housed at various warehouses across the country (some items ship factory-direct), it is possible that you may receive your items before the tracking number(s) are released. Additionally, your order may arrive in several shipments. We will send you an Order Status Update via email when your tracking number(s) are available from the warehouse or manufacturer.
CFS Products cannot ship items outside of the United States. We are a USA authorized reseller for the products that we carry and are restricted by the manufacturers to only ship within the 50 U.S. states.
CANADA: Unfortunately, we cannot ship to Canada. However, there are a variety of options and services within the USA, just across the US border who can accept your shipment and can arrange for local pickups.
If you receive a shipping container that appears damaged, either refuse delivery or note exceptions, in detail, on the delivery receipt or bill of lading. DO NOT DISPOSE OF ANY PACKING MATERIALS, be sure to save all of it. Check for concealed damage, and report any PRODUCT damage to CFS within 24 hours of receipt. At that time a CFS representative will provide further instructions to resolve the problem.
All products are covered under our 15-Day Return policy. Should you decide to return your product for any reason within the first 15-days, a full credit will be issued upon the safe return of the item(s), excluding the return shipping cost. You must call for a Return Authorization Number before sending your product back to us. Orders that are returned after this 15-day period or without a Return Authorization Number will be subject to a 20% restocking charge. Tax Exemption & Resale
We are required by law to charge sales tax to deliveries going to any of the following states including California, Colorado, Georgia, Florida and Michigan. If your organization or business is exempt from sales tax, or if you are reselling the items and have a valid re-sellers permit, please call us at (888) 237-3221 to remove sales tax from your order.
Tax Exempt FAQs
Q: How do I place a tax exempt order online?
Download the appropriate form above, complete it, and email it back to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have never ordered from us before, then send the form along with your (1) business name, (2) address, (3) phone number, (4) your name, and (5) your phone number. We will set up your online account as tax exempt, and will notify you once this is complete and you can begin placing orders online without sales tax. If you have ordered from us before and already have an account set up, let us know your account number or company name and we will edit your account to be tax exempt. We will notify you when it is ready.
Q: My exempt organization is in a taxable state, but I don't see a form listed. Where can I find it?
Some states do not have separate forms to fill out for tax exempt organizations; instead, they just require you send a copy of your state-issued exemption certificate. You can send a copy of that form to email@example.com in place of the above forms.
Q: What if my state isn't listed?
If your state is not listed above, than we are not currently required to charge sales tax on orders shipping to your location. You may place your order online at any time and you will not be charged sales tax.
Q: You didn't previously charge my state sales tax, but now you do...what changed?
