With the massive popularity of digital printing the old tried and true method of scoring thicker stocks for clean folding no longer makes the grade. Impact scoring is necessary when scoring across digital inks, so Martin Yale has introduced two new creasers to meet the demands of digital reprographics.
The Martin Yale CR-818 Manual Creaser is hand-operated via a lever handle, while the Martin Yale CR-828 Electric Creaser is a powered unit that is activated with the included foot pedal or push button switch.
Both impact creasers can handle sheets up to 14 inches wide by 18.2 inches long in thicknesses up to 130 pound cover (16 pt). The hard-anodized aluminum paper stop guides and durable steel construction make these machines a smart choice when looking for scoring equipment.
