Do you use lamination film rolls or vinyl rolls in your production area that just seem to take up a ton of room? These beastly rolls can be cumbersome and tough to cleanly store as well as pretty darn heavy. To wrangle these and make things much easier there are several Vinyl/Film Roll Storage solutions in the form of racks, carousels and rolling caddy carts.
We’ve had a few questions lately about the Roll Storage Caddy which just happen to be my preferred roll storage option. These are carts with upright posts that stand your vinyl or lamination film rolls in a vertical position. Best of all these rugged, steel construction caddies can hold a total of 1000 pounds! Each upright (depending on your roll core size: 2 or 3 inch) are spaced either 5.5 or 6 inches apart. The 2 inch core version holds up to 12 rolls and the 3 inch core caddy holds up to 16 rolls. Both models have a durable, powder-coated finish and feature heavy duty nylon casters to allow for easy transporting across your work area. The casters can be locked to securely keep the roll caddy in one spot.
Keeping the media tightly wound is a breeze thanks to the Sooper Clips (pictured above). They help keep your rolls closed and will not scratch or mark your media, eliminating waste from material damaged by tape.
