Musicians like me are often on the lookout for good deals used music gear and instruments. There are certain items that can fit our needs so long as it functions perfectly and does what it needs to, the cosmetics are not as much a concern. There is actually a whole segment of music instruments that are vintage or 'road worn' and we pay much more for these classics.
As far as used binding machines go, these can also be a bargain, getting you the functionality you need at a fraction of the price of new. We have an extensive collection of used equipment at our warehouse in Michigan and a few pieces in our California warehouse. Many of these used machines were in use by a large, nationwide chain customer of ours who closed several stores. We have taken the bindery equipment from those store closing shift and then we inspect it to make sure it is still operational. If the machines pass, we sell them at substantial discounts. Most of these machines will function exactly as new.
