gluing carbonless NCR formsQ. I want to pad NCR carbonless sheets together into form sets. Would the padding compound be what I need to use to adhere them in sets?

A. The NCR carbonless papers have special coatings that react to the carbonless fan-apart adhesive. In reality, it’s more of an ‘activator’ than an adhesive. Each sheet is coated with a substance that sticks to the same coating on corresponding sheets when it is moistened by the fan-apart adhesive. Once dried, you just fan the stack apart. Get it? Fan-apart?

The padding compound is a thick glue solution that gums us when it dries after application. It’s the part of a notepad that makes all the sheets stick together. If you use this on your carbonless paper your sheets will not separate into their respective multi-part sets. You will just have a giant notepad made up of lots of carbonless forms.
