Welcome to part 1 in our series on large volume passport photo workflows. There are so many handy features of our Digital Passport Photo System for quickly taking and printing passport photos. However the camera design does present some small challenges that we have created workarounds for, such as our previous video showing battery & memory card access on a tripod. This one involves the battery needing to be removed from the camera and placed in a wall charger in order to recharge. This means your camera cannot be used while its battery is recharging.
To ensure you keep your camera always operating you can simply order an extra rechargeable battery that you can use to create a rotation to always have one charged when charging the other. This battery is compatible with the Canon Elph 160, 170, 180 and 190 series cameras at a fraction of the price of Canon's OEM NB-11LH battery pack at $45.00 each.
Next, part 2 looks at keeping your camera running when the memory card is removed for printing.
Do you have a workaround that you use to make your passport photo service faster or easier? Please share it in the comments below.
